Sakaram worked as a peon in an office for over thirty years. He was a office for over thirty years. He was a sincere worker and an honest person, especially with money.
However, Sakaram had many personal problems which brought about his addiction to drinks chewing tobacco. Although he had a negative leave balance and a track record for being drunk on duty sometimes, he was in employment because of his good work. He also enjoyed the favor of many of his colleagues.
Honesty is the human quality of communicating and acting truthfully. It is related to truth as a value. This includes listening, and any action in the human repertoire — as well as speaking.
Superficially, honesty means simply, stating facts and views as best one truly believes them to be. It includes both honesty to others, and to oneself and about ones own motives and inner reality.
A woman visited a psychiatrist to report a problem.
“You have got t help my husband”,she said.”He has delusions about himself and thinks he is an elevator.”
‘send him in,”replied the psychiatrist and i’ll cure him”.
“Oh! i can’t do that,’said the wife.”He is an express elevator and he does not stop at your floor.”
The moral of the story is “we tend to think that others are the problems, not examining ourselves honestly.”
