Caste has played crucial role in Indian Democracy. Many organizations based on caste came into existence even before the constitution came into force. The illiterate people, who didn’t understand politics were mobilized to organize themselves by appealing to their caste sentiments by the self interested politicians. The casteism dominates Indian politics so deeply ,effecting not only the formation of political parties but also their manifestos. Various groups based on caste and communities have been formed in various states, fomenting hatred against one another. caste has polarize the national politics. Caste tends to determine electoral nominations, voting behavior now a days. Various castes have started making numerous demands ,whether for reservation, or to categorise them as OBCs etc ,endangering the democratic set up of our country. One day will come India will split into so many times for this caste system.

The politics today has degenerated to a level, where no cause is more critical or important than the greed to stay in power and thereby make money. And to achieve this the politicians go to any extent and ensure division among fellow citizens based on caste and religion.

They deserve no respect and are to be treated like worms are may be even worse.
