Haji Ali Dargah

There are two legends about this dargah. The first is that a wealthy Muslim merchant and saint named Haji Ali renounced all his wordly possessions after a pilgrimage to Mecca. The second one is that Haji Ali died on his way to mecca and his body,in its casket floated back to mumbai,.As many as above approximately 39000 pilgrims visit the shrine on Thursdays & Fridays, which is built in the middle of worli bay. The shrine has a 500 yard long road which is lashed by the sea during high tides and it is the one highlights of the dargah. The 99 names of Allah are written on the shrines pillar.

    Hello,

Most of the sites say that “Haji Ali renounced all his wordly possessions” BEFORE going to Mecca and not AFTER as you have mentioned. Any way nice manipulation from Wikipedia and other sites.

    Hello,

Search for the exact string “wealthy Muslim merchant and saint named Haji Ali” in google and you will see a list of urls and almost all of them including wikipedia and http://friendsofallah.in/dargah/Mumbai.htm says “before”.

In fact the same string appears in your blog as well. May be coincidence!!!
