Doordarshan

In my days we used to see Doordarshan . On Doordarshan , we used to see serials like Zaban Sambhalke, Dekh Bhai Dekh, Ramayan, Mahabharat, Shanti, Mungeri Laal ke Haseen Sapne, Waghle ki Hasin Duniya, Karamchand and Vikram Betal and Buniyad.
Every Wednesday we used to see Chitrahaar at 8p.m.
On Sunday s Doordarshan used to show news for deaf and dumb.
We used to get ads like I love you Rasna and Pepsi yeh dil maange more. My friend Manju Sadrangani also used to come in some ads on Doordarshan.
  Some Sundays we used to see Marathi Picture on Doordarshan and Hindi Picture too. We had some more serials like Fauji and Circus in which Sharukh Khan has worked
Nowadays we have cable channels and many more ads, where we have forgotten the name of Doordarshan.
I have also been to Doordarshan centre (Worli, Mumbai) during my college days.
Shanti was the first soap serial which became famous. Mandira Bedi became popular because of Shanti serial on Doordarshan.

You forget to name the Mahabarat, Discovery of India(Sunday). In some star channels Shanti & Ramayan is coming again. The quality of serials were oustanding in Doordarshan.I like Kaarmchand very much... I used to wait for Chitrahaar at 8p.m every week. I still watch Doordarshan news, Cricket Matches and some movies...
