South Africa win the ODI series in style 2

South Africa registered its 2nd win of the series against the Bangladesh. Andre Nel was the key bowler for the Proteas who took 4 for 27. This win ensured the South Africans to take an unbeatable lead of 2-0 in the three match series. Another win against the Bangla team will put the South African team on the number one spot in the ICC official ODI rankings.
Nel & Charl Langeveldt destroyed the Bangladesh top batting order. Langeveldt tool 3 wickets & gave away 31 runs on a sluggish pitch at the Sher-e-Bangla stadium.

S Al Hasan (52) & R Hasan (63) were the top scores for the Bangladesh and this pair helped the team to reach a respectable target which can be defendable. Bangladesh set up a target of 174 runs to win in 50 overs.

South Africa started the chase with some early hiccups and G. Smith (28), H Gibbs (3) & H Amala (14) were out very cheaply. A B De Villers & J P Duminy steady the innings and build up an unbeaten partnership of 119 runs off 190 balls and help South Africans to win the match in 48.2 overs. J P Duminy missed his half century by just one run. He hit only 1 four in his 49 off 93 balls. De Villers hit 2 boundaries & a six in his 69 off 112 balls.

South Africa struggled to reach the target and I felt that Proteas were struggling to play against the spinners of the opposition. Bangladesh bowlers were never look threatening to De Villers & Duminy. Mortaza was very tight in his line and length; his figures speak out 10 overs, I maiden, 27 runs & 1 wkt. But remaining bowlers were never look tough for the pair of De Villers & Duminy. The match was most of the time was boring as one team is dominating.

that’s all folks for now,
