We are constantly under physical and/or mental stress. We all know the reason for this but we fail to take any corrective action. We all have expectations. We expect many things from others. Others expect many things from us. Whenever these expectations are not fulfilled it causes frustration, depression, agony, hated, anger and jealously. All these negative feelings manifest as stress.

Hindu Dharma is believed to accept the existence of several Gods or deities.But in reality it accepts only one God, the Supreme God.

Many Hindus in India have left their born faith and converted to other faiths. This was prompted by their desire to seek a living which was denied to them because they belonged to lower castes, dalits. They were assured of an improvement in the quality of their life by the people of other faiths. They were also assured equality in the new faith. But all this has not come true. These people are now agitating for reservation claiming that they are still dalits. See the agitation launched by converted Christians and Buddhists.

I am a Hindu and I am proud to belong to a religion which does not ask its followers to work for converting people of other faith to Hindu faith. A person is born in a particular faith. I fully grant the person freedom of changing his or her faith if he or she is not satisfied in born faith. But that should be his or her free will. There should be no exploitation, no instigation or no threat by others. Aurangzeb killed sons of Guru Gobind Singh Ji when they refused to convert to Islam.

It was 23rd January 2008, birthday of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. I was waiting to board the train at Jharsuguda, Orissa. Suddenly it struck to me that the train, which runs between Pune and Howrah, has been named Azad Hind Express. I live in New Delhi. I never thought that on this day I will be in Orrisa and will tarvel by this train which bears the name of Netaji's famous Azad Hind Fauj. Was it a coincidence or I was destined to celebrate Netaji's birthday in this manner?

I was shocked but perhaps it was natural for the TTE. I boarded Azad Hind Express at Jharsuguda for Kolkata on 23 January 2008. My ticked in AC 2 Tier was confirmed. There were three other people. TTE came and checked my ticket. The three people gave their second class sleeper tickets for reserving birth in AC 2 tier. I could gather that they had been permitted by TTE to board the train.

मैं चला जब कर्म पथ पर द्रढ निश्चय पर अकेला,
आ जुड़े हर जीत के संग मित्र इतने जैसे मेला.
जीत का आनंद सबको इतना भाया,

British High Commissioner Richard Stagg appreciated Lead India initiative and advocated that politicians should be paid more. As per his views professionals would consider coming into public life if they are compensated better. He asked that if there is no money in politics, why should a youngster join it?

Very interesting observation, but are not politicians professionals and are all politicians old? Politics is a very rewarding profession and there are many youngsters in politics.

Anupam Kher quipped, "But they will make money in politics, won't they?"
